Capturing new life is my favorite thing in the world. Teeny fingers and toes. Flaky skin. Those sweet little newborn sounds. It makes my heart sing. It’s such a precious time and also goes by in a flash (hello newborn fog). It would be my honor to document this chapter in your family’s life.
Simplicity
I know it seems like a lot. You have a new baby and things can sometimes feel overwhelming. And with motherhood, stress is inevitable, but I’m here to try and make it easier for you. My studio is fully stocked with everything you would need. Diapers, wipes, bottle warmer, burp cloth…you name it, I’ve got it. Except milk. You need to bring your baby and some milk.
My pricing is simple and all out there for you to see.
I’m a low volume newborn photographer and so I never do more than one newborn session in day and I do them in the morning so there is plenty of time. That means there is no rush for your session. If your baby need some extra time for feedings, nor problem. Running behind trying to get out of the house with a newborn, don’t sweat it. I get it. I’ve been there. And I’ve got you.
You also don’t need to feel like you have to get your baby’s picture done in the first 2 weeks. If you liked a more posed look, that’s the best way to go, but we can still get beautiful shots at any time in the first 3 months!
I’ve Got You
Being a mama to 2 kiddos, I understand where you’re coming from and what a vulnerable time this can be, so I structured my business around all of this. I also truly fall a little bit in love with each little baby and family when we spend time together in the studio, so be prepared.
I know this time is precious. It’s magical, it’s hard, it’s beautiful, it’s emotional. It’s so many indescribable things and it would truly be an honor for you to choose me to capture this sliver of your life for you.
I also get how overwhelming life with a newborn can be. It’s my mission to make things as easy as possible for you.
Safety First
I’ve been trained on newborn safety to ensure your baby is in good hands. I’ve also been doing newborn photography since 2009, so I’ve wrapped up and cozied up to hundreds of babies by this point.
Below are other safety precautions I take in the studio:
I'm vaccinated for COVID, flu and TDAP
When handling your baby, I will be wearing a mask to keep my germs to myself
I thoroughly wash my hands before handling your baby as well as sanitize my camera and phone before the session
The studio will be thoroughly cleaned before the session for studio sessions
All props and fabrics are washed after use and I have a sterilizing bin to sanitize any tools and accessories that aren’t machine washable
I never do more than one newborn session a day
How much?
My pricing includes a set amount of digitals. You receive all of your photos on an online gallery and choose the number included in your package. You can always select and purchase more once you receive your online gallery on your own time. No pressure. No sales pitches.

I’m from Houston but have lived in Austin and New York, and made my way back home in 2012 when I decided to take the plunge and make my part time photography gig a full time thing. I haven’t looked back since.
In that time I’ve had 2 kids of my own and I understand what new moms are going through. I’m here to make your newborn photography session a safe, fun, and relaxed experienced for everyone.

If you want sleepy, curled up photos, the easiest time to achieve that looks is 7-14 days. But we can get beautiful photos at any age. Sometimes the road is a little rocky in the beginning and it’s ok to wait until you get your bearings. I’ve posed babies up to 2 months old, nothing is impossible. And even open eyed and alert shots are great if your baby is more awake.

Yes! I specialize in newborn and baby’s first year, but I offering family mini sessions in the fall as well. I also offer monthly milestone mini sessions held on a set day during the week. Upcoming dates can be viewed here.

My studio is located in the Houston Heights off of 22nd and Durham. It is in a free standing building behind my home which makes it ideal for everyone. It’s a safe and secluded spot for you and makes it easy for me to give you space to nurse when needed. I just go back to my house where there are most like piles of laundry waiting for me to fold

Feel free to bring anything that is special to you or you think you would need. But honestly, I’ll have everything you would need in case you forget. You just need to bring whatever you plan to wear, your baby and some milk. I can take care of the rest!

Yes! Depending on the session you choose, there is a set number of digital photos included in package. 2-3 weeks after your session you will recieve your full gallery of photos. From that gallery you will be able to select the number of digital files that are included. You can choose to purchase more if you would like.

I serve all areas of the greater Houston area. My studio is conveniently located in Central Houston in the Heights. For any lifestyle or custom session, there is a $50 charge 10 miles or more outside of the loop.

For newborn only sessions, they often last between 1.5 to 2 hours. For newborn and family sessions, they typically last between 2.5 to 3 hours. This can sometimes vary based on longer feedings for baby but there is never any rush. I never schedule more than one session on a newborn session day, so we have all the time you need. Since my studio is located behind my home, I give you all the privacy you need to feed your baby without any rush. I have plenty of editing (and laundry!) waiting for me in my home!

Yes! I offer monthly milestone mini sessions held during the week on a pre-selected date. A list of upcoming dates can be seen here. I also offer a limited amount of family mini sessions in the Fall. I usually send out an email at the end of August announcing the dates and location and open slots up a few days later.

Of course! You are always welcome to show me things you like. Just be aware that it’s very difficult to make an image look similar when trying to recreate because of all the factors involved. It can also significantly slow down your session. There are also a few newborn poses that I do not do because of safety.

If you’d like hair and makeup done, I can put you in touch with someone who can come to your home before the session to get you dolled up!

I have a room with a rocking chair and boppie for you to use if you are nursing. I live in the house behind the studio, so I leave to let you nurse in privacy for as long as your baby needs to feed.

Unfortunately, I don’t allow pets in the studio. But I do offer in home sessions if you would like your fur babies included in your session
