About Maternity Sessions

Bringing life into the world is a beautiful thing. And even though pregnancy can have it’s highs and lows, it’s a special time that is fleeting and worth documenting. I almost didn’t do any for myself because I wasn’t feeling it, but I’m so glad that I did. My daughter still loves to look at pictures of me from my session and say “I was in your belly!”

We can do your session outdoors or indoors. You can do it solo, or include your partner and/or other kiddos. Whatever you’d like!

The best time to do maternity sessions is in the third trimester. When you have a sweet round belly but before you feel too uncomfortable for photos. This sweet spot varies from person to person, so we can discuss what week is best for you.

I do not provide a wardrobe as everyone’s tastes are different and I want to embrace that. There are many great places to find some great outfits, both online and brick and mortar. We can collaborate to see what is the best style for you!

All sessions are done Mon-Fri 8-5pm (excluding holidays)

Maternity Session Types

We can do a maternity and family session which lasts 45 min to an hour. Or a mama-only sessions which lasts about 30 minutes.

Custom sessions can be done in my studio or at the location of your choice.

I also offer monthly milestone mini sessions in my studio. These include mama-only maternity sessions or baby-only sessions during your child’s first year.

More information about milestone minis can be seen here.

This is the most exciting time in your journey of motherhood. When your sweet little baby is nestled in your womb and you are dreaming of what your little angel will look like and be like. You feel those little kicks and hear that sweet heartbeat at your appointments and dream of the day you are able to hold your sweet baby in your arms. Pregnancy can often be the best of time and worst of times (hello nausea and back aches), but it’s one of the most special experiences you will experience. It’s worth documenting, whether you feel like you can run a marathon in your third trimester or if you’re waddling around. It’s a time worth capturing.
