First Birthday Photography Session

I had the pleasure of having this sweet little angel in my studio to document her first birthday! I can’t believe a year has gone by so quickly. I feel like it was yesterday that her mama brought her in for her newborn session with big sister and dad.

Her mama loves the color yellow and brought in some gorgeous tulips to incorporate into her session. The result was one of my favorite images of all time and continues to be my cover photo for my website.

For her first birthday we wanted to keep it sweet and simple. Pink balloons and a white backdrop with a delicate tassel banner. Simple and classic. My favorite things.

I love capturing milestones of all kinds, from newborns to sitters to birthday girls and boys. The first year is so sweet and magical!

If you’re looking for a milestone session, we can do one in the studio or at a location of your choice. Here is more information about my first birthday sessions.

We can do a baby only session or include the whole family. I also offer monthly milestone mini sessions in my studio in the Houston Heights area. Upcoming dates can be seen here. They are 15 min sessions and you receive aa gallery of photos. The package includes 2 digital photos of your choice. This is a great way to capture those milestones in a quick, easy and affordable way.

Some tips:

• Outdoors is great, but the studio is easy as we aren’t at the mercy of mother nature

• Keep it simple - it will be classic and timeless

• For cake smashes, if you don’t want to use a cake, cupcakes are also cute and sweet
